What are the essential features of Google Analytics?
- Traffic Reporting
Google Analytics tracks every visitor in your site daily and you can see how many people are interacting with your site per channel. It also tracks trends over time which can help make online marketing decisions.
- Conversion Tracking
Every website has a point of conversion that needs to be defined and Google Analytics allows you to set up conversion goals such as contact form submission, e-commerce sale or phone calls.
- Keyword Referrals
Most people are searching before they reach a site and Google Analytics allows you to know what a keyword a user used to find your website. You can also take advantage of this data on your SEO strategy.
- Third Party Referrals
Google Analytics also tracks if a third party website is sending traffic to you. This is useful, because you'll be able to see what sites are worth spending more time on, as well as if any new sites have started linking to yours.
- Custom Dashboards
Google Analytics gives you also an ability to create custom dashboards if you want to monitor the traffic, conversion and keyword referrals happening on your site. These dashboards can be shareable and can be exported into PDF and CSV.
